Spirit Of Monmouth Running Club resurrected the Kymin Dash in 2013. At the first meeting it was decided that the race would raise money for charity as well as provide a race in Monmouth for runners from across the South West to take part in.
The total raised and donated to charity so far is £18,950, comprising £10,450 from race income, plus an additional generous contribution from Barclays Bank of £8,500.

2014 – Supported The Gwent Appeal of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and donated £2000
2015 – Supported Action Duchenne and donated £2000
2016 – Supported St Michael’s Hospice Herefordshire and donated £2500
2017 – Supported Llamau and donated £2000
2018 – Supported The Stroke Association Wales and donated £2250
2019 – Supported Ty Hafan and donated £2500
2021* – Supported Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff and donated £2000 [*no race held because of the pandemic but a £1000 donation was made, taken from the race entry fund held over from the postponed. Again match-funded by Barclays.
2022 – Supported Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff and donated £2700
