Yes, absolutely! We understand that not everyone will enjoy it, and committing to a membership can be daunting if you're unsure. That's why we offer a "try before you buy" guest runner opportunity.

Click here and fill out the form and we'll be in touch.

Our main club run nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Tuesday being the primary club night of the week – and the preferable choice for newcomers. However, if Thursday suits you better, that's absolutely fine too. If you're considering just showing up on a Tuesday evening, you can find us at the Monmouth School Sports Club (Hadnock Road, Monmouth NP25 3NG) at around 6:55 pm. We'll almost always be there and ready to accommodate you. However, we kindly ask that you fill in a membership or guest runner form before joining us for a run.

Please note that while we strive to be there every Tuesday, there may be exceptions, such as if there's a local race happening or if we've changed the start location for that particular evening. Therefore, it's much better to email us beforehand at We'll respond as soon as possible, providing you with all the necessary information and hopefully welcoming you as a new member.

If you'd like to give us a try first, we can arrange for you to run with us two or three times before committing. We're excited to meet you!

While we typically run from the aforementioned location, there are exceptions. Especially during British Summer Time, we sometimes vary our routes to explore different trails in the area. Therefore, it's always best to reach out to us beforehand to confirm the meeting location – and perhaps to seek advice on suitable running shoes.

Perhaps the most frequently asked question, and if it's on your mind, chances are the answer is a resounding 'Yes!'

During our club nights, groups typically cover a minimum distance of about 4 miles in roughly 50 minutes. If you're comfortable with this pace, rest assured there will be a suitable group for you.

The swiftest among us usually maintain a pace of 7-8 minutes per mile, covering approximately 7-8 miles in an hour. Between these speed extremes, you'll find three additional groups tailored to various paces, ensuring there's a suitable match for everyone.

If you're not quite ready for 3-4 mile runs yet, a highly recommended approach to safely build up your endurance over a couple of months is to follow the NHS' Couch to 5k program.

Right now, we are a club for those aged 18 and over. But it doesn’t matter how far over 18 you are; we have active members in their eighties!

Yes, people often move between clubs. You can can find out more info here.
